Advent Penitential Cheer!
Well, it's what was on sale at the Presbyterian Church next door at the holiday Wassail Bowl. Does it count that I bought a lavender knit cap for a niece?

I hope that I have not "grown," but your obviously Christmas-inspired-door-hanging-during-Advent is not sending me into orbit. At the lowest level, I take some pleasure in your keeping of Christmas, rather than some vague Winter Solstice Holiday or not-holiday, as you prefer. (Vanderbilt seems to fall into the "not-holiday" camp. For a school that spends lavishly on landscaping, etc., there are practically no "seasonal" decorations on campus. For my alma mater, the Episcopal Church still provides some cover for observances such as Lessons and Carols. Perhaps the same is the case at Hobart?) At the best, what I am advocating now is that people begin celebrating "the season" and get into "the spirit" around Labor Day, get it all out of their systems before December, and then keep Advent right. I think that this approach has some potential!
.....You don't think that the evergreen candycane evokes the "bitter herbs" of Advent? And here I was so pleased with my choice! --MCT

For a second I thought that it looked like a question mark. It would look perfect on the Riddler's door.
.....I do not think I could wear that body suit convincingly ... but the idea of me as the Riddler works, kinda --MCT
