And arrived...

at the lovely Hotel Za Za - formerly the Warwick! Someone once told me that Frank Sinatra thought the view of Rice and Herman Park from the top floor bar at the Warwick rivaled anything in the world. I'll see.

I need to dash - a carfull of ladies from my past is picking me up in moments to start the mad social whirl.

I had always heard that comment attributed to Bob Hope. If it actually happened, I assume in Bob's case he was being kind, if Frank I would expect alcohol was involved.

Indeed, "carfull of ladies from my past" brings to mind scenes redolent of raccoon-skin coats and trying to hold on while standing on the Duesenberg's running board....
