Caroline!
The Caroline! campaign has got big momentum! An anointing is in the offing! This is a great story about her trip to Central and Western New York - perhaps for the first time.
She declined any questions in Syracuse, grudgingly answered a few in Rochester, and then gave what almost felt like -- but was not -- a full-fledged news conference in Buffalo, joined by the mayor there, Byron W. Brown."I know that I'm fortunate to be in a position where people know who I am," Ms. Kennedy said. "And I want to put that to work."

"I think, in the last year I've spent a lot of time campaigning across this country in a lot of communities that are struggling with the same kind of issues," said Ms. Kennedy, who spent weeks campaigning for Mr. Obama's presidential effort. "And obviously New York State has been hit harder than most. And I saw, really, the need for people who are strong advocates and have relationships in Washington. And I would do everything I can."
Then she was asked how many times she had been to Buffalo.
"Three or four?" Ms. Kennedy said, and walked away.

If given only "name" choices, I'd go with Andrew Cuomo. He has Washington expereince, and actaully got elected by the people of New York to a major office.
I rank Kennedy with Fran Drescher.

How about Nassau County Executive Tom Suozzi - a pro-lifer with management and budget skills, but with a social conscience?
There has been talk about him as a dark horse. I'd pick him over Cuomo.
