Our most dangerous vice president?
Joe Biden called Dick Cheney probably our most dangerous Vice President in history. Well, it's true that Mr. Cheney is a bit feisty at times and that not everyone loves him. But his competition for title of "most dangerous" VP is stiffer than Mr. Biden seems to realize. Aaron Burr, for starters, murdered former Treasury Secretary Alexander Hamilton in a duel. (Mr. Burr was evidently a better shot than the much more lovable and less dangerous Mr. Cheney.) If Mr. Burr's notoriety had ended with the duel, we might be tempted to conclude that poor Mr. Burr was just having a bad day. But he was later arrested and tried for treason.
