I'm a Rice alum . . .
. . . from the mid 80s. We were the anchor of the Southwest Conference. We lost almost every SWC game - but often enough we beat the spread.
Sarah Palin obviously beat the spread.
And sometimes that's enough to stay in conference play. We'll see.
