It's a stupid headline. But it was disingenuous for Palin to harp on that when she is running with someone who has been on the inside for as long as McCain has.

.....I think it's a reasonable (and factual) appeal to a kind of conservative Republican who is still opposed to big government (and yes, despite 8 years of W, they still exist). That's one of Palin's real selling points as a ticket-balancing choice. Goodness knows there hasn't been another DC outsider at this stage since Bill Clinton. What I'm appalled by is the laziness of the AP. Can't they find something more interesting to lead with? Perhaps not. --MCT
