New Pocketable Camera Joy!

Once again I read around, but came back to Ken Rockwell's recommended list and ordered there - might as well support someone who is so very, very informative! Go there and do likewise.

Now that I find myself wanting to take my Nikon D40 with me everywhere I go, I fully understand the desirability of a good, smaller pocket-size digital for everyday use. Time to ask back for my Sony cyber-shot from a certain someone that took it to Australia last year.

I also just bought the SD870 and have been enjoying it---there are a few pix taken with it on my blog, though not that great in themselves. Buy a second battery? I carry TWO spare batteries (because it takes the same two batteries that I had for the SD700 that I broke and haven't fixed yet, but might still). I took 427 pix (no flash) in one day recently and did use two batteries, but didn't even need to contemplate the third or wonder if it had held its charge. I do have the screen go blank on a fairly short setting.

I've been taking lots of pix one-handed with rarely an issue, although I had to get a bit used to it.
