What do you know? Self-reported data used in important rankings might be falsified!

Tulane comes clean. That makes four this year, including Claremont-McKenna, Emory, and George Washington University. Tulane’s lies were about a graduate program, the other three about undergrad numbers. How many other schools have discovered their problems without informing anyone or haven’t gotten up the courage to look?

USNews rankings are one of the corruptors of higher education.

(conflict of interest notice: my Ph.D. is from Emory – but Emory is shutting down the Institute of the Liberal Arts as it was, so I’m feeling no love)
