Every president needs defenders for his gaffes. Obama has Laurence Tribe, who thinks saying what you don’t mean about the Supreme Court is no big deal for a Harvard Law grad / U Chicago adjunct con law prof. Remember, this is the man who picked Obama as a research assistant, but then didn’t make him do any research (that latter link is worth reading in full).
